Her book "Making Peace With Autism" has shown parents how they can build a family life despite the ups and downs of the ASD rollercoaster and she has done a lot to raise awareness of autism with media appearances and talks to parent groups around the country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28229731.post-18166771733942813762006-11-27T19:37:00.000-05:002006-11-27T19:37:00.000-05:00I would support Doug and Laurie Flutie and the Dou...I would support Doug and Laurie Flutie and the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation - they've subsidized various events that have helped our family learn and cope with the challenges of autism.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28229731.post-52013413703532763202006-11-27T14:14:00.000-05:002006-11-27T14:14:00.000-05:00How about Doug Flutie

I can't remember if the autism series on NBC, MSNBC, etc. was in 2006 or 2005, but they certainly have used their prominent positions in the U.S. media world to significantly raise awareness among the general public of the rise in autism cases and all of the challenges that come with that increase. Plus, of course, they've raised millions of dollars for autism research through their new partnership with NAAR and dozens of fundraising walks and other events around the country.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
